Springdale, MD. (October 17, 2015) – Lambda Gamma Gamma (LGG) chapter, in conjunction with the Uplift Foundation, held their annual Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Charles Herbert Flowers High School.

The 2015 LGG Chapter & Uplift Foundation Youth Leadership Conference was presented on the theme of “Getting on the Grind, Getting to Success” and the operational motto was “Leaders plan and planners lead.”  This motto served as the basis for conducting the three track conference break-out approach: Academic, Business and Entrepreneurial and Student Athlete. The students chose a single track based on their particular academic and athletic interests.

The YLC began with a plenary session facilitated by nationally-known and acclaimed motivational speaker, Bro. Brian Heat. Bro. Heat began by getting the students awake and engaged promptly at 8:00 am. The keynote presentation of Bro. Heat worked well to set the tone for the remainder of the conference for the 86 student participants.

The conference was chaired by Bro. Lloyd Davis and he was assisted by Brothers Corey Sanders and Lonnie McAllister.
